YouTube logoIt is reported that with the help of Google's massive cloud computing infrastructure of data centers and web servers, YouTube is reducing the time it takes to upload and process the videos uploaded by users.

Benefited from these enhanced measures, especially the Google's internal Hydra project, YouTube claims that the upload time of 60% videos will be completed within less than a minute - 7 times faster than it did in 2008 and four times faster 6 months ago.

Chris Dale, the YouTube spokeman said that the company's goal is to reduce the upload delay time to in seconds, not in minutes. This move is as well to reduce user frustration, as to overall operating costs.
