Three years from now we will see more mobile devices in the market. It is estimated, the numbers break the 2.6 billion units, according to data from Canalys.
Mobile devices in question include notebooks, tablets, smartphones and feature phones. Each year, the market research firm expects a growth of 8% for the global mobile device market.
Among those gadgets, tablet computers will experience the most rapid growth with annual growth rate reached 35%. Smartphone followed underneath by the 18% figure.
Shipment tablet itself predicted would reach 384 billion units in 2016. The 7-inch models will be the most popular in this year and berandil in more than half of tablet shipments.

So now look at the category of operating systems, the Android market is forecast to creep up to 71% in 2013 although this figure fell to 66% in 2016.

Vice President & Principal Analyst, Canalys, Chris Jones thinks even though he did not see the return of the glory of the BlackBerry in the coming year, but he said there was a chance BlackBerry win back the attention of consumers.

"The release of Windows 8 will help Windows Phone in the coming years. Habits of consumers with Live Tiles UI will increase, costs will go down Windows 8 PC and enterprise adoption of Windows 8 will go up," said Pete Cunningham, an analyst with another from the same company.
